Founded in 1949, the Group has been engaged in the businesses of international steel trading, warehousing & distribution as well as steel manufacturing & processing for over 50 years. It was listed in Hong Kong (stock code: 0024) and Singapore (stock code: Burwill2K) in 1983 and 1990 respectively. WorldMetal Holdings Limited, the then subsidiary of the Group, was also listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited by way of a spin-off in October 2001. Between 1999 and June 2004, the Group adopted the name WellNet Holdings Limited.
